Massimo has been a delegate of the International Symposium - Film Acting and Film Directing, host last weekend at the University of Wales, Newport.
The Symposium brought together internationally recognised practitioners, educators and academics and explored the history, currency and future collaboration between film actor and director education, teaching and training. Speakers included:
Ken Russell - film director (Women in Love, Best Actress Oscar for Glenda Jackson) - On directing actors for film
Prof. Louis Scheeder, Associate Dean, New York University Tisch School of The Arts, Founder and Director of The Classical Studio, NYU - On the training of the American actor, Strasberg, the 'speech/act'
Dr. Victoria Lowe - Manchester University - On Robert Donat and the emotion chart
Owen Teale - Tony Award winning and RSC theatre, film and television actor - On working with directors
Witold Stok BSC - Cinematographer on a number of Krzysztof Kieslowski's documentaries and the award winner early feature Personnel, and Danusia Stok - editor of Kieslowski on Kieslowski, Faber & Faber, 1994 - On Krzysztof Kieslowski.
